Last weekend we celebrated Sophie's 3rd birthday! We had her party on Saturday (although her actual birthday was Sunday). Here's a link to the birthday photos:
http://reckardfamily.shutterfly.com/action/?a=0QasWrds1bMXJA¬ag=1.We had her party at our neighborhood kid's pool. It's a fun pool with fountains and buckets that dump out water and such. The pool is only 2 feet deep at the deepest point, so it's great for small children. Since Sophie loves the water so much, and loves Finding Nemo, we decided to make it a Nemo theme.
We were worried that it might rain-- it was overcast that morning and had rained some overnight. But by 10 (when the party started), the skies were clearing and it was HOT!
The kids (and some of the adults) played in the water, and then Sophie opened presents. She got lots of fun presents, and has been playing with them ever since. After presents, we ate pizza and had cake. Then it was time to clean up and go home.
She had a lot of fun and has talked a lot about her "water birthday party."
OMG I can't get over how grown up Sophie is now! She is so beautiful! And Emma and Kylie, I hardly recognized them; they are so grown up and look like little ladies. Thanks Vania for doing this website so I could share a bit in the festivities. =)
ReplyDeleteHey Vania. Looks like it was a wonderful birthday party. I had forgotten that Sophie and Rinna had birthdays back to back. Our babies are growing up huh? Looks like everyone is doing well. The only problem with this is you're doing like me, you're not in any of the pictures. Have someone take some with you in them. We'd love to see you too.
ReplyDeleteTake care and give Sophie and big hug from her cousin that she doesn't even know :) Kim
Vania, this is awesome. Thank you so much for doing this! We have Sophie's Easter picture on our refrigerator, but it's so much fun to see how big she's getting. I'm going to print some of your pictures off of the web so that MeeMom can see them. She'll love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious, beautiful little girl you have! Please give her (and Chris) a hug for us. Love you, Aunt Marge and Uncle Bill
